Any other diffs besides m5. I've heard any 525s 530s would

M5 and 540 diffs are the large case. The 535, 525, 530 use the medium case and are bolt ins. Another common choice is the e32 735 diff in 3.64:1

So the 3,46 lsd i just blew up isn't out of an m5?if you look at the shape on the inside of the left output shaft, any differential i have looked at to buy the shape was just round not wavy like on this one? So maybe i have different axles?.i Does any one have pics of there original 535 half shafts too?
so is it a medium,? And why would the out put shafts and half shafts our axles differ /URL]

Please resize your pics before posting, those are HARD to look at. As far as I know the M5 and 540 diffs do not bolt in on a 535. That doesn't mean it wasn't done but, I suspect that if you had a 3.64 ratio it was from a 735.

Sorry for the picture size I'm using some app on my phone, but any why the ratio was a 3,46 so should i be looking for a large case?and i sol dint know if my axles are deifferent.are they interchangeable?

3.46 is the stock ratio for a 535/5. This car uses the medium case diff.
