WaveJamr / iPhone in car

Thinking about buying this for my F30, as I don't like trapping my iphone 5 in my center console. I'm wondering... if I connect to this "WaveJamr" via bluetooth, will I not be able to connect via bluetooth to my car in general? (to sync contacts/ make phone calls) Also, is there a chance my songs won't be available to view on my display, but rather only from my iPhone?

Well first off they don't have a dock for iPhone 5, so what i do is plug the cable in and let it run of the glovebox, plug my iPhone 5 in and leave it sitting in the cup holder. As for the WaveJamr, all it is a bluetooth dongle so you can stream your music to dock stations and such without having to plug your phone in. It wouldn't give you any extra features than you just connecting your phone to the idrive directly through bluetooth. I connect my phone to the car bluetooth and it auto copies the phonebook over, still get to see what is the current song, can go next track, and previous track. With the WaveJamr, I doubt you can view what song is playing. WaveJamr pretty much receives the music and connect to the output as an auxiliary signal, so it wont give you information. Plugging it in the 30pin connector is whats powering it thats why no need for battery or charging.
