E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135. |

window rubber seal care
I wanted to pose a question regarding rubber seal maintenance given how the 1 series windows seal when closed. I asked the BMW service center if they sold any conditioner to keep the rubber seals supple longer, and they stated they "once" did but no longer, and suggested I try other parts stores asking for "rubber conditioner" but NOT tire conditioner. They did say, however, that this was important, and I should look into getting something. I looked around at my local parts store and could not find anything. Any suggestions from the forum?

THE only thing to use. It works..does NOT gum things up, lasts and makes rubber be like real rubber. Had an applicator head like an old fashioned liquid shoe polish tube, if anyone can remember polishing shoes anymore, and is highly recco'd...
