2013 M Sport Headlights

I'm a little confused about the headlights on the 2013 M Sport... the official photos show an M Sport with the new squared corona rings while the real life one at the announcement has the older round corona rings...

Take a look:

I believe squared lights come with full LED option. Rounds ones are standard.

You're right. I missed that those squared headlights are only an option and are not standard (except on the 760). So basically a 2013 M Sport would look almost identical to a 2010 M Sport from the front when equipped with the standard headlights. Bumper looks the same, headlights look the same, The only difference I can tell would be the indicator in the side mirrors and a 9-slat grill vs the current 13-slat grill.

It would not look the same as a 2012 since they switched to dark chrome for the bumper inserts... unless these photos are not of the US version and they still intend to use dark chrome on the 2013 US model.

If you had Night Vision (or 760 that has this option as included, not sure for US version) option then you already have almost identical 9-slat grill.

One thing that isn't clear to me - if you don't buy the All-LED headlights, are the standard lights exactly the same as our current lights or do they have the HID Halos found on the current 3,5,6?

There will be two types of headlamps available on the 2013 7 Series. Round LED ones similar to those currently standard on 5 Series and squared off "full" LED ones similar to those currently optional of the 6 Series, except even more advanced in that the center of them (the pupil, if you will) need not light. Notice the 2012 Individual in Moonstone in the background of the photo above, which has the current headlamps, and compare to the 2013 M Sport Pack in the foreground, which has headlamps with a more white (blue) hue.

Wow, didn't realise it's an option! They should really make it as standard as this is BMW's flagship sedan.

They will probably be at least $1.5k a pop, if not more, if included only with a package...

Impressive changes. Few external changes which is with keeping how BMW makes changes to new models.
