Fitting Day Light Running lights to 2007 X3
Hello there, I'm trying to fit some DLR light to my 2007 X3, the instruction say to fit one wire to the battery, one to the car chassis and the other to the side light supply, does any one now what colour wire the supply cable is for the sidelights? Also is the such a thing as auxiliary power cable supply under the bonnet which will switch on when the ignition is turned on?
Thanks David |

Although it might require a trip to your dealer to activate the feature (or the purchase of one of the 'kits' that allows you to change the settings yourself), the E83 already has DRL's. You shouldn't need to install/wire any third-party hardware.

I also have a 2007; it has the option of electronically (via a dealer-activated/deactivated software setting) turning the DRL's on and off. The built-in DRL feature uses the existing high-beam headlights (at reduced power setting); there were no additional lights fitted at the factory for DRL's.
