Take away your son's allowance. If he spent that kind of money for authentic Strut Grille, your giving him a little too much. If he comes home on some 24's or 26's, take away the car.

Hey guys, I enjoyed that car`s look and handling for long time. I tried to convince him to put old stuffs back, to get to original style by showing him your posts, but it does not work. It is his car now.

I don't mind the grille, just needs to be black around the trim.

Strut grills look unfortunately 'Fugly' on 7 series my friend. Looks very "cheap"

I think wall-mart sells universal grills that look... almost the same..
Your son is grounded for this for a month I hope ? =)

PS that Sclass is sick!

Every dog has its day, let him run with it, he will change it again.

Those are nice high quality pieces (talking about the Strut grilles), but they don't quite "mix" well with the chrome. There's absolutely no contrast whatsoever since they are such similar color. Maybe if your son painted the chrome outer edges of the kidney grilles gloss black (since it seems like he's trying to black out the back anyways), it might not look as bad as it does right now. Or maybe he could paint the grille's themselves gloss black and leave the outer edges of the kidney grilles chrome.
