Resonator removal and magnaflow will give you a nice aggressive sound

You don't have to remove the resonators (3 of them), but if you do it will greatly improve the sound (louder).
Since you mentioned that the Magnaflow might be a little too quiet, I think you will want to remove the resonators at the same time you do the exhaust. Check out these two threads. There are some good sound clips there too. removing resonator only Resonators

We already have too many posts on this subject and the aforementioned links provided by Yorgi explain all of this, please read those. Anyhow, it is not something you remove in your backyard, you need to take your car to an exhaust shop.

Ok so as I said a while back, I kept my resonators and ran a straight pipe, it sounded good for a while. It's cool when you Rollin with your boys but when u are with a chick or going on a date, it's freakin annoying. So I'm going tomorrow morning to put some magnaflows on. Also I noticed that when you run a straight pipe, it slows your car down. It doesn't accelerate like it use to. I was told its cuz of the back pressure that the muffler provides. So I'm going with magnaflows and that will be that. I'll let the 6ers out there know how it goes

![]() This sounds like the feedback I am used to on going with a straightpipe! I read your posts about that in the other thread and wondered to myself how you could stand it day-to-day. Lot's have liked the Magnaflow, should sound tough but not annoying. |

since you tolerated straight pipes for a month, the Magnaflows might sound a little quiet to you. If so, just go back and take out the two front resonators, and if it still isn't loud enough, then take out the third "box" resonator" and replace it with X-pipe. Best of luck in searching for the sound that best suits your tastes.
