Hwy MPG impressive in '12 ActiveHybrid L

We've had our new Hybrid 7 L for five weeks and have taken several trips. Between the two of us and our luggage, we're looking at about 500lbs. above the car's already lofty weight.
Yesterday we returned home from Sequoia National Park, a four and a half hour drive/219 miles. The on board gage reported 26.3 MPG. The MPG for out trip UP to the park earlier in the week was 22.1 MPG, not bad considering destination's altitude is 7,300. F

2009 750Li F02, many travels @ 78-83mph, cruise set 22.9 mpg.

BMW bring the tri-turbo diesel to USA 7er. Maybe we get M750d tri-turbo as other turbo diesel M cars in the new line.. I'll take one, thank you.

That's the problem.

They need someone to say I'll take 2,000. Why would you think they can sell thousands of those each year? Do you think folks would be better served than the current range of 740/750/760/B7? In Europe, Diesel is significantly cheaper, but that's not the case in North America.

I want more distance from the F02, I avg. around 391 miles full tank 80+ mph/with city per trip. I would like 550+ miles from diesel 7er.
I'm not concerned with what they can sell or what serves other folks. I know the price paid for fuel in Munich, Paris, Hong Kong.

Last January on a 400+ mile stretch of I-95 (VA,Carolinas,GA) I got 38mpg (calculated by the fillup to fillup method) at a steady 70mph with my Bluetec...on winter diesel. That comes out to about 750 miles per tankful.Granted the 7er is heavier so 650+ miles should be doable...more with summer diesel.

Why do you need the range? Do you have a long daily commute so that you can't go a week without filling up?

BMWNA probably won't do an individual importation for you. You can probably consider a private importation if you really want one.
