front suspension 525i 93

Will probrably have to replace parts a piece at a time (well in pairs). Do too money being tight right now. Now when I reach around 50 mph the front of the car is shaky. What part should I start to replace first?

Why lower? Seems upper thrust/control arms wear first.

you cannot replace bushings if they are the aluminum thrust arms, only the steel. they are cheap enough from fcp that it is not worth the trouble to replace bushings.

i dont know what you were looking at but fcp is cheaper than usauto parts. some on this board will only use meyle or lemforder parts and fcp has the best price on these. i have used fcp house brand with much success and a lower price point. fwiw.

Please stop suggesting FCP parts. I assume you never owned FCP part in your life or never rocked HD Meyle part to compare them to.

OP, your shake can be caused by tie rods, the lower/upper control arms usually do not give you that shake at 40 MPH but produce different symptoms. Quality tie rods are cheap.

I'm gonna have to replace most if not all the front suspension anyway I just wanted to nip that shaking in the bud first. The bentley manual says its the thrust. Arms that make the car do it

if fcp are installed correctly they last as long and as well as lemforder or meyle. you have never used them or installed them incorrectly as to why you have had problems with them. also set a lemforder and fcp side by side and you wont know the difference. spend the big money on the big name from us auto and get dorman or uro for the more than the fcp. do you even own an e34?

I have Fcp control arms, Meyle HD tie-rods, Lemf sway bar ties. Everything works fine for me 3 yrs+ of hard driving. I also have replaced all shocks and associated rubber. Fcp is fine for the price and they stand behind there products.
