We only have 91 octane max here, I have been thinking 100 octane race fuel, it sure will add power to turbocharged mptor, but will it hurt the rest ofthe system?

Absolutely, I forget who explained the BS response from an installer stating that it takes a while to get used to your driving style. BUT that does make me wonder if after driving it harder after the Dinan has been installed that it is more just the stock motor/software learning your driving, as opposed to the Dinan adding more power. I'd love to start gathering information from all Dinan S1 and S2 owners to give their input on 0-60 times. 1/4mile times are very useful, but a simple 0-60 anyone could do on a frontage road and post their times. I sometimes wonder if it can confirm its been installed on the screen, but that the coding doesn't effect the motor as it should.
Individual750Li, did you ever get your install problem figured out?

I drink the hell out of my new 7. I have never owned an m3 so i don't know that I can compare it to that. But I enjoy the drive on my 7 immensely.

I had the engine malfunction problem a while back. They essentially reflashed the software and I haven't had a problem since.
Did you find out what was the cause?

Since posting back in August, I have moved out to Santa Monica. Since being out here, (and maybe because I can only find....and would only buy 91 @ 4.50/gal) I haven't been able to break the 18.2 mpg mark. This is down from my 20.5 avg back in Dallas, TX when I always put 93 in my vehicle. This could of course be attributed to several additional items, and not just octane levels, but rather traffic patterns, uphills and downhills (Dallas is all flat..except my driveway), etc.
