M5 rear suspension info req

Hi just bought a 1990 e34 m5, rear suspension needs replaced, I would like to remove the SLS & fit conventional shocks & springs. I would be grateful for any advice on which shocks & springs would be suitable, I wish to maintain standard ride height. cheers.

Hi, if I may ask, why would you want to delete the rear suspension? From what I understand, many people in the future would be looking forward to buying an M5 with original suspension components, so you would be essentially making the car worth less money, though I can't really talk because I've done some irreversible things with my car.

Anyways, as long as you keep up with maintenance on the suspension, it will run great.

However, if you do go through with the SLS delete, I would be happy to purchase most of the components for backup on my car, since they are quite hard to find. I recently replace the accumulators on my rear SLS and my god what a difference it made, it puts so much less stress on the valve, hoses, and struts.
