2001 BMW 325i Air Conditioning

The air conditioning will not always blow cold air, and it seems that it is dependent on the outside temperature. If it is a cooler day (50's-60's), it will blow warm air. However, if it is a warmer day (greater than 70's), it will blow cold air. I know it seems strange, but does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Thanks!

Do you have your top center vents turned to the blue dots? Do you have your temp setting as low as it will go? The auto setting is designed to maintain a comfortable temp, so it may be working as designed unless you override it.

What SJBimmer said is true, if you know someone with a set of R134 manifold gauges you could check the pressures to see if the system is low

Thanks for the input. The center vents are turned to the blue dots, and the temperature setting is the set at the lowest temp (59F) with AC button turned on. Any other suggestions? There are plenty of times that it does blow cold air. But, it seems strange that it only does not work when the temperature is less than around 70F.
