BMW M7? Ludwig Willisch, BMW NA CEO and President, says YES!
The 7 Series has been shunned by the BMW M division for years, but perhaps that will change with the new 7 series due in a few years. BMW of North America CEO, president and recent Bimmerfest VIP guest was quoted as saying he would like to see a proper M7 offered to enthusiasts. Remember that Mr. Willisch's previous job was the head of BMW M, so is he alluding to an M7 that is perhaps already in the works?
Mr. Willisch continue that turbocharged M cars are here to stay and we would not see any supercharged or NA engines from M. I was blown away with the power of the twin turbocharged M6 so further M development in this area seems great. It was also confirmed that we will continue to see manual transmissions for those of us in the US that like to row our cars. All good things that I hope are grounded in reality for the future of the BMW M division. A 500hp, 560ft-lbs of torque powered M7 sounds like a blast! Who wants to get on the waiting list ![]() Source inautonews.com |

But they already offer the B7. Seems like they wouldn't have both.

They're offering the BMW M Performance Autos car like the M550d xDrive that fits between the 550i and the M5. Why not offer a 750i, B7 and M7. It creates the same three tiers of car in essence BMW is offering on the 5er.

fair enough. My point is BMW doesn't seem to be as concerned with offering more products even if it does cause some slight confusion.

I think I will sign up for M7. My first experience with BMW was something called L7 in the 80s. It was more like the Individual option we have today. Not really a sports line.

They will need to gave us a modified version of the V12TT from 760, stuff the M5 engine in it just won't cut it, and not enough to compete with S63/S65.
So B7 compete with S63 M7 to beat S65.
