Trying for the first week of August

Just found out my car is now on the water after our fantastic Euro delivery experience. It is due in Brunswick Ga on 6/22. My dealer tells me they have put in the request for the first week in August. Does a 6/22 arrival in Brunswick allow enough time to expect a first week in August PCD day. Is there anything more I can do to facilitate getting my date. The wife and I are very anxious to do the PCD day

Thanks for any help
Steve

Nothing else that can be done at this time. It will basically come down to how long it takes the vehicle to get through Customs and the VDC. It should complete both in time, but we will just have to wait and see. If you'll send me a PM with your VIN or Production Number, I'll double check to make sure that request is on your reservation.

Let me know if you have any other questions

Jonathan, I just ordered (yesterday to be precise) my 2013 X3 and the dealer showed me he had a couple of slots available to put in the order right away. I want a PCD somewhere around Aug 6/7 and did put this as a request with my CA. Is there anyway to make sure I get one of those dates for PCD? Thanks for your help!

Sorry for the delay... I was out of town last week and just got back. You may have already received a delivery date dependin on when your vehicle is being built.

There is no way to make sure you get one of the dates as they are all scheduled on a first come fist serve basis. However, if your CA read the reservation form, there were guidelines on the timeframe for delivery based on production along with a place to include requested delviery dates. Those dates aren't guaranteed but they will try to schedule the delivery for one fo the dates if it falls within the time frame and there is availability for that date.

For SC built vehicles, the earliest a vehicle can be delivered is 2 weeks from completed production. It will have to be delivered no later than 6 weeks from completed production. Therefore if the allocation they choose for you allows the vehicle to be built and the August 6/7 date to fall within the above timeframe, you would at least have a shot at getting a delivery on those dates if requested and available.

If you want, send me a PM with your name and production number and I can try to find your reservation to make sure your requested dates are listed.

Hope that helps

No help from CA

I am told that my car has finished customs and the VPC on the 10 th and my CA would be getting an email that day. On the 11th I call the CA she has not received an email so she contacts BMW and is told she will be contacted when it is ready. So therefore I can't scheduled my PCD delivery date or make all the travel arrangements. I call BMW euro delivery on the 12th and am told the car is waiting to be released to the trucking company. Previously I have been told the PCD won't have the car shipped to them until close to the delivery date due to parking limitations at the center. Anybody have any ideas for me, I seem to be in a loop.

Thanks
Steve
