idle issue after ccv install

SO Today i installed a new CCV and after i put everything back together i started the car and it sounds like its chugging.... it dropping to about 800 rpms and then jumping to about 1100 and it just keeps on doing this.... I dont know why... has anyone every had this happen?!?!?

this is my exact issue...

do you mean CVV (Crankcase Ventilation Valve)? did you clean your idle control valve and throttle body before you re-installed?

--Also you might've cleaned out your top and bottom hoses, there could still be build-up in them from the failed CVV

i replaced all four hoses and the ccv... I did clean the TB. should i take it out and reinstall it again?

This is often a symptom of a failed TB controller.

Any connectors you forgot to plug back in anywhere? What do your error codes say?

EDIT: Reading your other posts on this, I'd say it's your ICV connector if it's a 3 inch wire. Up behind the DISA. Check your TB too..... if you missed one, you may have missed more.

EDIT 2: I'm thinking you've left more than that unplugged. Looking at the picture you posted in other thread that could be to the alternator.

Also when i give it gas it doesnt do anything....

Hi, I'm having the same exact problem. Mine started after installing a VF supercharger, so far no luck with this. On my case, when I try to drive the car, it just looses all power, the SES, EML and brake light comes on, in amber/yellow color. I have replaced so far the TB, MAF (4th one so far), ICV, oil separator, every gasket from the intake manifold, double check all hoses connections, replaced every hose in there I could find/think of and still there. The only codes my car are giving me are 28AE (torque limit) and 28AD (actual torque). I haven't been able to find much abot these, if you do, please post your findings, also if you are able to figure out the cause of the idling surge/hunt, it might help me fix mine also. I will post any progress on my part for the fix, if I am able to do so, that is. Thanks

Throttle body is either unplugged or damaged in cleaning.

Start your own thread on this and I'll reply there. Your issue is likely different.

found out what the issue was... Somehow a tiny stick got between the connections in the electrical connecting for the TB and wasnt creating a path for the signal.. Now all is well with that issue.

sorry for the late reply, but i figured it has something to do with the cleaning of your TB, but that is crazy that a tiny stick got in there. good thing it was at the TB and you didn't have to pull the new CVV and hoses out entirely.

So where did the "extra connector" end up going?

Hey sorry about the late reply. Been on Duty. The "extra connection" Connected to the Oil Temp sensor to the right of the Alternator (if facing the direction of the car) I couldnt tell because it just looked like a metal part sticking out of it... Not a normal Electrical connection. But all is well now. Hope this helps anyone who needs it

No problem. Glad to hear you got it sorted and thanks for coming back with resolution - very helpful to all. Yeah, there are a lot of little connectors of that size in that area. Picture looked like you had them all in but couldn't see so well. Now drive it!
