There is an easy fix for this as I just did it on my 5 two weeks ago... It requires taking the radio down to circuit boards and the connectors on them... The problem is the glue used between the ribbon cable and the circuit board that controls the pixels signal breaks down the connection between the display and the circuit board... you have to pull the ribbon cable off the board, clean off the glue, and then reconnect the cable in the original method... When you get in there you will see what I mean... Do a search for BMW radio fix on google and a number of forums will come up... one or two should have the DIY method... The one I found was on the E38 board... Good luck!! Cheers!! |

If you need some help - we can get you the parts and repair service as well. If you do it by yourself - make sure that you know what you are doing. Easy to damage (to crack the LCD and/or damage gauges needles).

please go to the www.bestpixelrepair.com , find the service you need (cluster repair service, mid repair service or combo cluster/mid repair service), add to the cart, apply the voucher code BIMMERFEST, choose the shipping service and you'll see your total.
