ac fan
this may sound crazy but my 2001 e38 has developed a bizzare occurrence. when i have the ac fan on high (even on max mode) and i turn the steering wheel to the left i can hear
a drag on the fan. i recently had a alternator put in but in all honesty i can't be sure if it happened before that.. any suggestions |

Turning the steering wheel engages the power steering pump which, at least on just about every car I've ever driven that uses it, will cause some form of 'drag' on the engine. I've always thought it seemed excessive on mine but, everyone assures me it's completely normal.
Hard to say if yours has developed a genuine problem or if you're only just noticing it now for whatever reason... Sorry I can't be of more help there :P |
