Should I go Black? OEM 2001 style 60 Wheels

I am a little dissapointed, my 275/40/18 Falken 452s only lasted about 8000 miles and are now worn through on the rear. I believe this is largely due to the fact that my 740i has 150k on it and has been exibiting some symptoms of suspension wear for the last 20,000 miles. I took the car to have the suspension checked and they gave me the thumbs up that it was ok.. BUT 8000 miles on a set of all season tires and the 55mph shimmy beg to differ..

I picked up a set of what might be the worst looking OEM e38 wheels ever but they have amazingly brand new Bridgestone tires. I want to roll these untill I can gather all the suspension parts to do a full suspension rebuild as well as a little upgrade or two (performance springs or coilovers etc)..

I really don't like these new wheels at all and really don't want my car looking like it belongs to an 80 year old man.. I have had lots of experience painting stuff, and am considering painting them black.. just to give it a less crappy look...less.. They were so cheap I couldn't pass them up..

What would you do? I just don't want to burn through another $500 worth of tires while I collect parts....

Ok so here is my car on my beloved M-Pars

Here are the style 60s I bought

I photoshopped (poorly) the wheels black

Black wheels aren't my thing, but to each his own. On to your real problem.... First get a new alignment company, cause those guys SUCK!!! There is a total of five things to check on the rear suspension, but the vehicle tracking can also affect tire wear. You can search the forum for steps to help you with the stuff I've listed below.

1. Front suspension
a. Check sway bar links
b. Thrust arms
c. Lower control arms

2. Steering components
a. Check tie rod ends
b. Steering center link

3. Rear suspension
a. Check lower rear bushing
b. Lower control arm bushing
c. Integral link
d. Upper control arms
e. Camber struts *** the camber is adjusted using the camber bolt that goes through the integral link and lower rear bushing.

4. Get a new 4 wheel alignment
