M5 - Kidney Grills

Has anyone installed these on their F10 w/ M Sport front bumper/grills?

Want to confirm the the M5 kidney Grills will fit our non M5 but MSport front bumper.

Better yet, anyone have PICS too?

Part #'s I've found are 51138054491 and 51138054492, $58.14 ea. from getbmwparts

Needsdecaf did. They'll fit just fine. Pretty much universal.

Yes, I did. They snap right in. I bought them from Schmiedamin (sp).

yeah im kind of curious to see what they look like.

Your dealer can order them. My dealer charged $54 each

Are ya'll talking about the ones that are black with chrome trim around the outer edge like the new M5? I have been looking for them and have not found them. I just assumed the dealers would not have them available yet as the car has not even started shipping in the U.S.

yep..those are the ones, and they are available via bmwparts.com

I've tried finding them on that site more than once and can't find them. Can you provide a link directly to the grill? All I find is the ones that are all black without the chrome around the outside. I've tried a search on the part numbers someone listed above and it comes up with nothing.

All the grilles are made in 2 parts - the outer bezel and the fins. They come apart easily. Since you already own a chrome grille, all you would need is to buy the black ones and swap the bezels.

I tried taking pics but they didn't come out well. Will try again Sunday.

You can't order just the fins. See my earlier post with the part numbers and talk to Jordan at BMW of Houston North. He can get them ordered for you. Only takes a couple of days.

Why would you bother? How much could you possibly save over buying the entire grille?

I think people are getting confused. There are 2 parts numbers, one number is for the left grill, the other is for the right grill. BMW does not sell the insert/fin piece for either side individually. You have to buy the entire grill assemblies.

I think that you are the only one that is confused. The thread makes clear that the grilles are made in 2 parts - the bezel and the fins. If someone has the chrome grille already, they can buy the black grilles and take them all apart and mix & match bezels to fins as they see fit.

Wrong answer. Quit interjecting comments when you obviously don't know what you are talking about. The parts can easily be seen at realoem.com and I purchased them from my dealer.

I know each grill is assebled with 2 pieces. The problem is that you are assuming BMW sells the individual pieces. They don't. The sell the assembled grills.

You need to read more carefully. I never suggested that they sell each piece individually. Only that they consist of 2 pieces that can be separated and mixed as you wish with the grille you already have. No seriously... read it again.
