How Many Miles On Your X5?

After seeing many threads talking about the reliability and longevity of an X5, I'm curious as to how many miles you guys have put on your X5's. I've put about 58,187 miles on my 2001 X5.

I'm probably a contender for the low mileage award.

2003 X5 - 9100 miles, and it's not a garage queen - I drive it every day!
2 trips to the dealer - one weatherstripping clip on door on passenger side let go, and 1 voluntary oil change.

2001 X5 3.0 5sp. - 48,950 miles.

I lost track on the number of times to the dealer. I had replaced ALL four window regulators. That said, nothing was major and nothing was related to the engine other than the infamous "radiator fan" recall.

2001 X5 3.0; 39,000 All scheduled Maint. and several trips for air bag warning. Turned out to be the harness. Also a trip to replace the Aux. Fan.

2004 X5 3.0; 3,000 No trips as of yet. But I'm thinking of getting the car phone box installed.

I'm right up there with you, Chris! My 2001 X5 3.0i is currently at 60,911 miles and counting! As you can tell, I like to drive... a lot!!!

With continued proper maintenance and luck, I hope my X5 will continue to perform well since I still have plenty of driving adventures/trips planned. This one's a keeper!

125000 miles and it just passed Maryland state inspection today with no problems. It is my E53 2001 3.0 not the 07 E70.

Last edited by Beemer606; 12-15-2009 at 07:15 PM. Reason: my other E53 X5 not the E70

2001 3.0i
with SPORT,PREMIUM,COLDWEATHER packages
149,000 miles
change the oil every 5,000 to 7,000 instead of the recommended
had to replace alternator last month
engine oil and air hoses
CV Boots twice in the front only, rear boots seem to last forever
Camshaft Position Sensor
DISA VALVE, most costly single replacement part Ive had to do so far
one brake job, its about due again

other than little rattles in the steering wheel, and blower motor behind dash humming a little no major problems with the engine or the transmission, I will probably do the tranny filter and oil change soon to save it.
the Burl Wood trim is slightly cracked around the center console probably from leaning on it over the years but when detailed the car looks much newer than the year and mileage indicate
Ill attach some pics if I can figure out how

2004 4.4i, 63k and change. Bought in Jan '09 with 30k on the clock... I plan on running her till 200k. A few issues, mostly maintenance. It went in for warranty work on the door actuator, while in there, they replaced a leaking transmission seal, and a front half-shaft, and the left rear taillight. Other than that, it's just been routine maintenance (brakes, tires, oil, fluids, filters). Averaging 110 miles/day right now on her, and none of them are easy miles. Very happy.

Seems like nobody is really putting miles on their X5's. Our 2004 Volvo XC90 has already 170,000 miles...

I have two:

2006 X5 3.0: 103,500
Usual maintenance stuff, oil changes every 7500 miles, very reliable car.

2010 X5 35D: 2,400

You guys should all drive your cars more!

No major problems outside of regular maintenance. Replaced the O2 sensors today, also replacing the intake boot elbow in the coming days to get rid of the whistling noise.
