Hi all. I need help in diagnosing codes 50 and 51 in the EMl. These codes appeared after I attempted to reset the throttle adaptations using an AUTEL MAXIDAS DS 708 scan tool. Car starts and idles fine, no throttle. I have the wiring diagrahms but no pin voltage chart. Also, what does the acronyms; COS, SIN and POT stand for. If I know what to look for and can pin point the problem component. According to local BMW dealership, DMEs, EML and PWG are all communicating, problem lies within DK motors, @ $6000.oo to fix. For these monies I can replace everything in the system! Maybe that was their intent. Are there any repair facilities that might refurbish these components? What about used ones? thanks in advance for any/all help.

On my 91 850, took the DK motors apart, clean and reassemble, no problem.
