If you notice it's in the shade up close. Show it ~50ft away in bright sunlight. If you scroll back you'll see some of your customers' lights are so dim in daylight they're almost invisible - which defeats the purpose.
I'd be down to get a set if they rival the OEM brightness, I just don't see they do unfortunately.

Send me a sample for my 2012 MSport. I will give a honest review and if they do not code and look close to oem - - I will start a thread of joy for you! I think F01 and ChrisF02 user names would too!! But ill let them chime in too. Last edited by FULL 6; 02-04-2013 at 06:05 AM. |

Everytime I see this subject come up for either the e65 and especially the F01, it pisses me off!!!!
Here you have the "flagship of the brand" and these dip**** designers or even upper executives didn't see it fit to install the "marquee LED eyes"????? BMW should offer an option to customers to bring their cars in for this free upgrade or a minimum charge. *end of rant* BigMarcus ~ EVO 4G LTE

So...so many threads but non with definite answer.
1-What's up??? is there any product out there that works? i would love to get rid of the yellow lights, don't care about DRL just wants something that won't melt the housing. 2-main headlight is white but the one next to it is yellow (cornering light maybe?) can that be changed? |

No, there is no product on the market for the f01 that will give you the results you see on the LCI F01 or F10. Only option is to retrofit the LCI LED's but that will cost you quite a bit of money.

Yep- no matter what anyone says there is no good options. The LEDs out there are way too dim and you can't use HID's. I went with PIAA's extreme white H8 bulbs as a stop gap- now the lights are more white than yellow, but they look nothing like an f10 or my f13....

I also have the PIAA's and I'm happy with them and PIAA's are basically the only option if you just want to get rid of the yellow bulbs.

So let me get this straight... The Eyes on the F0 use a 'halogen-type' bulb instead of the led setup like on my e65???

I had these before I retrofitted LCI LEDs. They're not as white as LEDs but definitely whitish especially in daytime. |

I ordered Mtec MT-615 H8 bulbs from www.spoonzauto.com and they arrived yesterday. They sent me the wrong bulbs and are supposed to send me the correct ones for the F01. I have heard they are dim but I hate the yellow look of the stock bulbs. I will let you know how they look when I get them.

Ok just read up on the MT 615. It's a 12 watt LED and appears to be the brightest solution on the market for the F01. Do you have any pics of it installed yet?

12w sound weak, I'll be interesting to see pictures of the bulbs in the sun.

After reading more about it on this thread, it looks like e92 lighting is selling the Mtec lights. I'm still skeptical of all these led solutions and am just tempted to go get a blue coated halogen bulb.

12Watts is too weak. I am using the Strahl lighting LED's which are 20W each side. And yes, they are too weak on a normal/sunny day. It's been extensively discussed that there is no way to get the F10 look with the older F01/ring design using any current LED plug-in solutions unless you go with HID's and take the risk of destroying your headlights in less than a year due to excessive heat. So for right now, I am leaving the LED in until something better comes along. I am still hoping that someone will introduce a 40watt LED solution per side. Maybe that will be bright enough. |

Anybody know what the turn signal light bulbs are? Can these be changed as well. Also the top part of the headlight, any way to change the orange color on the headlights??

The turn lights are a separate module that inserts into the headlamp itself so no. Now if you want to turn off the orange blinkers at night you can code them out, that's what I've done.
