Interior Material, its vinyl right?

I'm not talking about the door card, or seat or carpet or anything like that..but the material that covers most of the door panels, dash, center console etc. is vinyl right?

Going to be doing a bit of painting and just want to make sure I buy the right prep materials

It's just straight up plastic. Fisher-Price style.

Seriously? Even the door panels? It has a bit of give so I figured it was wrapped with something..

I'm guessing I should go with the first one of these products rather than the ladder then..

Well, the top portion of the door panels have some sort of vinyl covering, but the lower section with the pockets is just hard plastic. Same goes for the dash and center console

How about you go stitched leather and stop with the cheap crap.

You're going to half-ass a plastic fisher price with vinyl.. (?)
No class.

Sure bud. That's on your dime, right?

There is nothing "half-ass" about what I am doing, I don't want an all black interior, I want dove grey inserts with black panels. Grey dash with black accents and a black center console. This is unobtainable without paint, or very expensive upholstery work which IMO, will look ridiculous.

Thanks anyways

Oh, I must've mis understood you... for a second there I thought you were about to use spray paint on vinyl.

If it was on my dime.. Id do it right.
NOT start spray painting things to match like a broke hood rat.

NEWSFLASH: painting your interior panels IS HALF ASSED.
Your car will look like a rodeo clown... some cheap donk knock off.

The difference between spray painting your interior.. and upholstery work... is MONEY.
Upholstery work takes time, energy, and effort.

Painting the guts of your E36 like some fast & frivolous riceboy IS CHEAP..
and reflects how poor your judgement is.

Show some class.

Do it right.. or dont fck with it.

Dude, lose the attitude. It was a simple question, and quite frankly, your opinion doesn't mean **** to me.

ZeGerman, for future reference nearly every interior piece minus the center console was wrapped in vinyl/leatherette of various thicknesses.
