I know this is kind of a cult truck, but right now some dealers are putting a pretty good price tag on these trucks - $30000~ for a low milage preowned model...

Do you think this is a good buy for the money? Or go for the 3.0TT in the newer X5 is better?

I have heard horrible things about the old X5, mainly their bad reliability. Anyone can elaborate? Do these things apply to the 4.8is?
