New Euro Delivery GT - Pictures attached

We just go our 535i GT redelivered. Picked up the car at BMW Welt in early April. My wife and I took a trip from Munich to Epernay and Reims, France (visiting Dom Perignon Champange Cellars and a few others), Paris, London UK (via Eurotunnel, pretty cool experience), Heidelberg and back to Munich. That was our second ED. One of the reasons choosing the GT over a X-model was actually the ED.

We took the GT up to almost 160mph, however it takes a little while until the car reaches top speed.

Enjoying the large moon roof, Active cruise control BMW apps, and the cameras. Pretty much essential in Paris parking garages and tight parking lots.

Like Active Cruise Control a lot. Use while commuting on busy PCH, the freeways around LA and it worked well on the Autobahn. I believe it only worked for speed up to about 130mph. Not sure about the collision warning. Set it to early warning, but the warning seems to be very late.

Beautiful car! Thanks for the pictures. What did you do with the BMW Apps? I have no idea what it's for?

The iPhone cradle in the center console connects the phone with the car. Apps and phone is accessible via iDrive:

Web Radio:
Plays radio station from almost every country in the world. Its organized by genre, location, BMW recommended stations etc. Great feature. I'm was born in Germany. It's fun to listen to the stations from there, or the BBC or some eclectic music from a french station

News:
Streams RSS feeds to the monitor or reads the feeds to you

Facebook:
Shows the latest updates on Facebook in the monitor. Reads Facebook news to you.

Last Mile App:
Not using it. Supposedly, shows the location of the car. However, it only shows the latest location when the app was used. Useless.

As I remember, getting the dedicated phone specific cradle does multiple things: couples the antenna to the external one on the roof, connects the phone to the car via usb or whatever it's normal i/o means is, and charges it. Depending on where you normally carry your phone, the increased reception range of the external antenna may be a major benefit. Double-check this, as I'm going from memory.

Also note that BMW makes cradles for lots more phones than BMWUSA lists. I.E., I have a Nokia N8-00, this phone is not listed on the BMWUSA parts listings, but does show up in Europe. I didn't want to lose the storage space there, so did not buy the cradle.

Where did all of these apps come from? I have BMW Apps and all I see is Yelp, Stocks, and Fuel. Do they only show up with a compatible phone?
