545I Alignment issue
Hello All,
I recently bought a 2005 545I with winter tires already on it. (also with new set of brakes). The car was running great and when i apply the brakes it instantly stopped (Great grip and it was awesome to drive). Then i changed the tires to summer RFT, and then in 2 days i noticed when i drive say 70 KM/H and takes the hand from the steering, the car drifts towards right. so i thought since these are summer tires, perhaps i should do an alignment. so i took it to BMW dealership and told them the issue and they did the alignment. But now the issue is far worst. before it drifts slightly, but now it is even more. and the worst thing is that, when i change lanes in say 110 Km/H, and applies breaks,i feel like my steering rotates by itself (and it is infact in certain situations). i have to constantly hold the steering firmly, otherwise it is drfiting ... i am really pissed .... Could someone shed me a light please?what should i do? i even thought of putting my winter tires back and drive in summer (i dont use BMW in Winter so it is okay for me to use winter tires) -- is it advisable? any help is appreciated |

If the car started drifting after U had tires put on, there's a chance it's a radial pull meaning a defect in the tires. Normally, to detect a radial pull U would swap front tires to see if it drifts the opposite direction. usually newer bimmers have directional tires, So rotate them front to back. A vehicle shouldn't drift from having tires put on, also must rule out tire pressure and uneven tire sizes
