Seat Sensitivity

I noticed the passenger seatbelt warning goes off if I have my wallet(not that heavy, trust me) and iPhone sitting in the seat. I would think there would be a higher weight minimum to trigger it? Anyone know if it can be adjusted??

I get the same thing if I have both my BlackBerry and my iPhone on the passenger seat. An item of similar weight (I used a laptop power brick) does not trigger the sensor. I'm guessing that it's not a weight issue, but an RFI issue. I have sport seats, so my solution was to move the thigh support out about 1/4 inch and put the two phones in the resulting crack. They're more secure there anyway, and less likely to slide around.

The RFI thought makes sense- it's annoying. I don't have the sport seats but like your idea- thanks for the info.

I drove home from the store yesterday with a 14 lb bag of dog food on the seat. No indication of seat belt requirement for passenger seat. Not sure what to think. Maybe mine isn't set at such a sensitivity. This is a good thing.

X3 28i Sports Activity pkg, Premium pkg, Tech pkg, Connivence pkg, Winter pkg and cargo net. Delivered 5/14/12
