If I won then even more fun. The lines weren't too bad, ~20 mins per trial plus a bunch of free goodies and meeting new people

I was 34 of 1,971 in DC last year (and 542 of 19,537 nationally after the DC event). Skipped it this year though.

after watching how you drove the Z4 this weekend having never been in it before I'm not surprised

Went to Chicago the last 2 years. 14th last year, coned both runs this year.

Kinda fun to see what you can do in 2 runs in a new car. I'll be buying a new street car this year, however, so I probably won't go back again.

I left so much out there on Sunday (and was totally flying blind on Saturday). My last run on the left course, I tried to take too much speed into the turn around. When the front finally started to catch, I had gone out so wide that I was into the slicker stuff and the tail started coming around fast. I almost threw both feet out to get it to stop, but gave it some more gas instead, which settled the rear. That episode left me in real bad shape for the entry into the back slalom...yet it wound up being my best run (only about .4 off of you on that side). But not stopping for the downed cones at the finish...ugh (guess I'm lucky they weren't counted against me, though)

Another couple lessons learned, though. I need to do a better job at getting bad runs out of my head before the next run. IIRC, I had a .8xx RT on the next run (which was my final run on the right side) and I wound up driving too conseratively the whole way. And made sure I stop for downed cones...especially at the finish when I tanked the run. )
