Vehicle Protection - IBEX

Has anyone gotten the additional vehicle protection? I'm wondering if I should get the IBEX since my seats are oyster. I think IBEX adds a seat protection as well as a warranty for the stains. I'll follow up with the dealer but am wondering if anyone has had a experience and cares to share. Thanks!

Yes I am curious about this as well. I have Oyster as well and the dealer says if you do it you won't have any issues with jeans rubbing off etc.

No personal experience, but I had the same question and decided that I am not getting it on my X5. Based on some previous posts on the subject, it doesn't really do anything that a good leather cleaner and protectant wont. I also had sand leather in my prior two Bimmers, and it was never an issue keeping it pretty clean (especially the leather). The Oyster in the X5 also has black carpet and trim which is much likelier to get dirty than the seats IMO....not sure if the X3 is the same.

I will keep an eye n this thread to see if someone posts something to change my mind, but it is doubtful.

don't ware jeans that fade on your seats especially if they are new. Ware jean of higher quality that won't transfer. My new Levis seem to be the culprit where my expensive designer jean don't transfer. I also found it cleans up nicely with Magulars leather conditioner. not sure what this IBEX is but sounds like another way the dealer can take your money. Spend that money at Norstroms.

Oyster X3 with black carpets but have rubber matts that clean up with interior detailer. I also bought a cargo liner from Canvasback USA custom cut for an X3. It is black and water resistant. Great to protect exposed carpet with seats down. Great price only draw back is velcro tape that is use. So far so good on the liner!
