door handle seals

Hey guys,
a while back I found a DIY thread (on this forum I am pretty sure) describing how to replace the seals (or whatever the proper name is for the rubber piece) between the outside door handles and the door itself. It caused me to notice the poor condition mine were in and has been bugging me ever since. I can't find that thread any more, but there is lots of info on how to remove the handles which is really all the information you need. since I was planning on ordering some other stuff for my car i as hoping to get the seals for the door handles as well. I like ordering from pelican (I have had not great experiences with the 2 other websites I have bought BMW parts from) but I can't find the seals on their site. Anyone know where else I can get these from?

EDIT: I also can't find these parts on realoem.com to do a part number search at pelican or elsewhere. If someone could point out where I would find the part number and/or where to find them at pelican I would appreciate it alot.

Get them on e-bay.. search for e34 door handle gaskets.

You need to get flat head/pick and pick oval seal from inside of your door (near the locks) then use flat head to press in a metal part and the handle will pop off. You will need a hook to assemble it back in so you can pull the metal part you just pushed in back to secure the handle.

I have an update for you guys, I talked to someone at pelican parts and they confirmed that the e36 door handle gaskets are the same part number as the e34 door handle gaskets, however you have to search through the e36 part of the site to find them as they are not listed under e34.

I wish I saw this thread sooner, I could have let you (and others) know this. When I went to order them at the dealer along with some other parts for my e46, they asked if I had an e36 since that part number in the DIY was for an e36. Tricky!

Get the ones made in Malaysia, they came in a week and a half for me

And they're like $13 shipping included
