Coding Meetup Connecticut

Hey all- I'm based out of Central CT by Hartford- have Esys and cable to code. Modded my 2013 X3 quite a bit and ready to get a group together to help others code.

MA/RI/CT/NY/NJ

If interested leave a reply here with dates, times, and location ideas. (relatively close to Hartford)

Free of charge service- unless you have a sweet ride, I'll require a ride in it!

Coding is a way to change the way the software of your car, and how it operates the features of your car.

Ex: in ROW cars, when you press and hold the lock button, the windows roll up and the mirrors fold in. On US spec cars this is disabled by the factory; but coding has allowed us to switch it on. Or disable the seat belt chime reminder, or delete the accept screen on IDrive when you start the car up, etc.

Hey all- as I have successfully coded my 2013 F25 X3, I am hosting a group coding on July 14th in Connecticut for F25, F10/11, and can help the F30 chassis people as well. I would like to start at 10:30am, and will be available until about 1:30, depending on attendance.

I will be holding this at 1899 Silas Deane Highway, in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. It's actual the "KOHL's" parking lot but it shares a very large empty lot with a since out of business mega store. Google satellite the address!

PM me to "RSVP" please.

Not sure I have the data file for it :-/ I would need to hook it up and take a peek, unless you have the module names you want to code

Due to the turnout exceeding expectations, I am going to start at 10am, and will run the session roughly until 2:00 or 230 - weather permitting.

Where is your 2011 535???

What year is your X5?

This coding session is for F-series chassis, like your 5 series, the new X3, the new 3 series...

I only have E-Sys to code, and am only volunteering to code Fxx chassis - as I have not coded others. I don't want to be responsible for ruining your nice X5.

Hi All-- Just letting you know I have 6 confirmed- so while one gets coded, you may have to wait and just chat amongst yourselves. Bring water - it's gonna be humid!

Many thanks to JohnathanArcher

I just finished installing the SW on my laptop this morning and drove to Rocky Hill where JohnathanArcher showed me the ropes and got me going. He got rid of the Nav boot window and I'll move on to more things on my own. I certainly appreciated the time and effort he put into it.
