2001 BMW x5 WONT START!!! HELP PLEASE!!!
I was sitting inside of the car with it on.... It reved up 3x's by itself and cut off... not I cant seem to get it to crank back up. It is not the batery! PLEASE HELP ASAP

Good day,
When you say it rev'd up... How many RPM's and how quickly did the 3x's happen? It sounds like a sensor to me... I'm thinking it is the gas pedal system, but I am still new to this one myself... Did you do a system reboot by disconnecting the battery, waiting a few minutes, then reconnecting... If it starts, you may have to turn the steering wheel lock to lock to clear out some warning lights... Good luck!! Let us know what you find out!! I'm interested to know what the fix is for this one!! Cheers!!

Sounds like it's not getting fuel... Maybe fuel pump?
