****SPOILER****2004 Canadian GP

Thought I'd better start this before someone gives me sh!t for not doing so.

Question Number 1: Will anyone give Michael serious competition (other than Rubens, of course)?

The answer to Questions Number 1 is:

No.

And the #2 driver for FIAT can only dream about ever getting the same car as Spoonface. Not in this lifetime.

Therefore, there is no point to even think about watching this race.

The McLarens are very good at braking...to get off the track and out of the way of other cars which have a chance of finishing the race.

No, that's breaking... with an "e"

I'm not expecting much from this race, unfortunately. Although BAR could make it interesting since this is another "chicane-o-thon" like Imola, where they went well. If you can somehow get Jenson out front, with Taku in between he and MS, then MS might have a very tough day, because getting past Taku might prove to be *very* interesting.

Sato takes out Schumacher. We have a race. He just has to do it before his engine blows.

BAR and Renault did well at Monaco, where the corners were more important than straight-line horsepower. Montreal has that long straight, but the back could get interesting.

Not that unlikely a scenario...unfortunately.

This is getting ugly already and it's only Monday. You guys are rough.

Patrick where's that positive attitude from a few weeks ago? Sato is being labeled the wildman, let's hope he doesn't take anyone out. As sure as we might like to see Michael quietly exit, he's likely to get someone else instead. Montreal could test out the Merc / Illmor lump.

Montreal is a power circuit where brakes are very important. JPM's been saying recently that the BMW doesn't have enough power, an interesting comment that I'm sure BMW doesn't want to hear. This should be a chance to see where they stack up.

Good question. I just cannot hide my dislike of Spoonface.

I will try to provide some less negative content to this thread - for now.

Let's just hope they don't end up stacked up in the gravel at the first turn again.

You're bitter, because he's winning

One season will end, he'll become the champion again and you'll still be whining

Forza Ferrari !

Lets see who starts whining again if someone punts Spoonface off the track and into a tire wall ...

Oh yeah, I must also add something positive: go Honda - with their new engine for Montreal!

Yes, you are still whining.

But you have a point there ... ' if he gets taken out' ... It looks like that's the only way to stop him at the moment. Take him out.

Well it's Tuesday now, but it's still quite ugly. I suppose it reflects frustration over the poor showing of the BMW team this year. A win would sure be nice. On the other hand, the McLaren fans must be in a state of near complete depression. They need some crumb of hope more than we do.

He was a pit down when he bumped the wall at Monaco. He would have been on the third place rung even if he had stayed in.

Exactly. But unfortunately, he couldn't even do it.

Just sayin'. Although Montreal isn't a place for the underdogs to bump fasterinastraightline cars, I'm still hoping to see Trulli or Button take him down a few pegs.
