Alpina front spoiler?

Hey guys,

I dropped my car off at the dealer to have the front spoiler installed and they said they have to mod the factory front bumper, basically they have to cut into the bumper to fit the spoiler.

I have no issue with them cutting into my bumper because the car isn't leased and I don't plan to remove the front lip but I just wondering if the cutting is necessary? I thought the Alpina front spoiler would be a direct fit on the existing f01 stock bumper without any modifications. Maybe someone who's done this mod could chime in?

That's what I thought as well. Please post detail pics after the install.
I thought the AC Schnitzer lip requires some cutting of the OEM bumper, looking at the pics. But Alpina seems to be a simple snap-on..Guess it's not?

Here's a few pictures the dealer sent me,the pics show 4 brackets that came with the spoiler and supposedly 4 more were suppose to come with it. My friend is the one who's doing the install because he works at the local dealer, he said the vent part of the spoiler didn't fit so they had to trim and in the pictures it does look like there was some trimming done to the original bumper.

I pick up my car later today so I will post pics of the spoiler installed.

Just picked her up today, the spoiler really transforms the pretty blah stock bumper. I was going to go with the m sport bumper but the cost of painting it and installing it wasn't worth it. The Alpina cost me around $1200 including install and paint.

Seems like a clean install. As for the form - not a fan, never was. The whole front looks too square. Have you seen the AC Schnitzer lip?
