well metaphorically spoken there! That must describe similarities w/ my car/women taste as well then.

My style, breast implants are TOTALLY OK (got some of those for my high maintenance ex, which I now regret) --> adds on/upgrades like a lip or spacers are fantastic too.

I dislike big posteriors --> wide bodies on sedans!!!

Sir, you are on a BMW forum, people that use this site are more classy than that and it is F.U.C.K.
If you are going to swear at least try not to sound like a hipster

This conversation would have gone in a more positive direction if you had explained yourself a touch better. Lets not forget the first letter of a sentence gets a capital letter as well

This is a BMW forum, most of the members here are older, educated and to put it bluntly, often think their **** doesn't stink. So if you're going to jump into a forum, you have to consider who your audience is when you're speaking.

The entire discussion hinges on the first post, so it's important to make it clear.

If you've done any research at all, like anyone actually serious about this sort of project, you'll have done at least one Google search. I came up with this, not much at all.

If Google can't find what you're looking for, it doesn't exist yet. I suggest buying lots of foam and doing some molding and shaping on your own. It's not going to be easy, but if you're truly passionate about it, then it should work out in the end. Assuming you've got the skills required etc.

Don't let people get you down, especially people on a forum. Gotta have thick skin to post online.

Good luck.

I like the option to add people to my ignored list.
Instead of reading smart-ass comment from newbie, I have this
"This message is hidden because alex3alex3alex3 is on your ignore list."

I doubt you're going to discourage anyone from thinking you're immature if you keep making posts like this.

Probably best to lick your wounds quietly and move on.

Edit: And yes, even Mavericks can look uber cool

That's not such an intelligent remark now is it!?!

Did you read my response at all? look at post number 7.

I've provided you with things to do and even people to speak to directly to further your idea which, as pointed out you've not really made very clear. A 'Custom' widearch kits is going to cost you thousands to do, which you may or may not have - we don't know. If you do have the funds, please go ahead and create something as you have been thinking about and when complete, please post up pictures of your creation or take the car to shows etc. If you don't have the funds, then you'll have time to research which companies to approach to ask about making the design you have in your mind and you can get costings etc to have the work commissioned and designed, then manufactured, tested and then installed and finished - all whilst you save up to pay for it all.

We were all kids once, and we've all said or done stupid things - I for one, will let you off for telling me 'F you' when I've attempted to help you ! You'd be better for yourself to try and be more mature as there's plenty of experience and knowledge here and on other BMW forums to really help you out.

Cheers, Dennis!

It happens at a different age for all of us Alex, for me I was in my early 30's. All of the sudden I found myself saying things like, "wtf is the matter with kids today"? Everything I listen too had become "classic". A lot of us grew up without cell phones and email. The differences in our 2 demographics are as vast and the friggin galaxy.

I have a son 1 year younger then you FFS.

Point is, you own an elite class vehicle. The forums for vehicles in this class are going to be filled with people a lot older then you for the most part. When you get to be our age, you've seen kids do so many stupid things you automatically become biased. Can't help it, just happens.

If you want to get along, you have to up your game. Acting like a kid will only get you treated as such.

Live and learn bud.

Hi
WDRAcing - thanks for the kind words! I'm right next to Heathrow so if you do pop over just let me know! plenty of car related shows and events around this area too!

Alex - Be careful ! as my post shows, there's a massive amount of research and investment you have to make if you want to make a 'custom' widearch kit based on what you want. Your question is as far from 'simple' as can be and when you start researching you'll realize as much! for starters, have you any idea how much an automotive design specialist will charge you to make preliminary drawings ?! ... Your next post should be after you've done research & costings into all the elements I mention

Please go and speak to Mert, he'll also give you more options as well. I will be talking to him in the near future too, so I will check up to see if you've been doing your homework !

Cheers, Dennis!

Don't get me wrong, they're nice to look at. But how many times have you watched one and thought "I'd marry that woman" while she's on taking 3 dudes? yeah.

where do i even start with this? lets see...
A) You're the one using profanity.
B) I'm 20 and you don't see people "bashing on me". Let's consider why. Could it be that I don't act like a tasteless immature teenager?
C) If had to put a number on it, I'd say 85% of the active users on this forum know more about cars than you. Most of them are a lot older than you and age=experience. That one time you helped your friend put a sub-woofer in his trunk doesn't make you an expert.
D)Work on your grammar. I mean seriously, if you came on here and posted in a manner that reflected your supposed intelligence, you'd get a lot more respect, regardless of your taste.
E) If you don't take anything else from this at least take this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humility

I will never be able to understand why it is so difficult for the majority of people on the Internet to differentiate the correct usage for "then" and "than."

Anyway, you have to understand that this forum is a great resource for finding solutions to your problems provided you use it right. You asked about custom body work. You're going to get subjective answers. Next time I suggest google-ing it, calling different body shops/custom shops, having the work done then post your article. There is no need to have temper tantrums like a child. No one cares how old you are but you decided to mention 3 times alone in the rant I quoted. You're looking for a discrimination excuse. I can't imagine what your real life is like with a mindset like that. Anyway that's my take on the matter, call me a dick all you want but just know, it's not your age it's your demeanor.
