MPH Reset Help (2002 LeMans Blue, 410hp to the wheel)

Hello Everyone, i just recently bought A 2002 M5. the Navi Screen is something I am very familiar with, but this one is an aftermarket screen. I was wondering how I can reset my MPG on my dash with the dash keys and controls. Thank you!

Should be able to reset it with the key in Position 2 (just before START), toggle the function (with the stalk button) to the AVG MPG function, and hold the button down until the numbers clear.

I have tried that, but the word "PROG" appears when i hold it down. any ideas ?

This is going to sound silly but are you using the correct toggle? You can program the intensity setting on the washers by holding the end of that stalk down, which is why I ask. The cluster toggle should be the "BC" button which is on the end of the indicator stalk.
