Back on topic, do we have more commitments for the Fall drive??

There's nothing like scenic roads, coupled with a cold/crisp air to awaken the senses...and our inline 6 beasts...VROOM!

Don't you all jump in at once...seriously, where's everyone? Is it so difficult to commit to a scenic weekend of enjoying your ultimate driving machines?

Hey, we're committed (waiting for the stain of the "tentative asterisk" to be removed from above ). Sounds like a fun weekend!

I am definitely interested as well, but I won't be able to commit until a few weeks before as I'm waiting on something. I live locally so I wouldn't necessarily need a place to stay and such.

We are attending the Fall drive !

Will be nice to compare it to the European alp passes from the previous week (Grossglockner, Pordoi, Stelvio, Silvretta, Kochelsee)

Well now...

It will be a different kind of experience, driving on local roads and a chance to meet some of the local festers. Have fun in Europe, travel safely and come prepared to share a TON of pictures and stories with the group!

I will be revisint the attendee list shortly,

I need to know which days you plan to attend.

The Wake Robin Inn will forego their two night weekend minimum and when I get an idea of how many people plan to stay Friday, Saturday, or both nights I can negotiate a deal with them.

I also need to have an idea how many will be attending dinner Saturday night and how many plan to go to the American Mural Project on Sunday,

We will be there for both Friday and Saturday nights. I'm not sure if we will be there in time for dinner on Friday, but we will be there for dinner on Saturday. And, if I had to bet, I think Diane would spike my tires if I tried to avoid the mural, so I'm guessing we'll be there for that as well.

Captain I love to make it however it is contingent on three things right now. I will not have my work travel schedule finalized until mid September, will need to see if Ms Windsor is free from Kids activities and most important hopefully I will have the 335i, otherwise coming up in the X5 kind of defeats the purpose although its very doable.

In other words I can't give thumps up or down until mid to late September.

If Windsor opts for the X5, you should take the 7 and we might show up in the Gran Turismo. That would guarantee we upset the E90 crowd and suffer death by stoning!

Thankfully for us, George (code name: the Ford Fella) is a good sport. Truth be told, it's quite the dedication to show up to a BMW driving event, in a non-BWM vehicle, because your car is being repaired. It was a stark contrast with some of the swag bags that were never claimed by their owners...

Since I'll be driving in locally from my home in Fairfield County - I'm going to likely do whatever the biggest day is, Saturday? Stay for dinner, then come back home.

So if Saturday is the big itinerary day, sign me up.

I am not sure if we will be back from Asheville. If we are, being local, I expect that we could make the day trip.

Oh, this was an easy one. Dedication had nothing to do with it.

Given the choice between hearing a bunch of folks I know on the board say "You brought WHAT?" versus hearing my wife say "What do you mean, we're NOT going away for the weekend???", I knew where I was going to end up.
