Park Distance Control?

I recently ordered a MY 2013 328i Convert so now is a good time to start asking questions, right?

I ordered it with Park Distance Control as part of the Convenience package, but did not order the Navigation System.

So given the above here are a few questions:

How low of an object will the Park Distance Control Detect, curbs, cement parking rectangles, etc? The point here is will it help to prevent the under the bumper rash?

Where is the cockpit display? I'm guessing same place that the Nav display would be.

Where is the physical location of the front Sensors? Will a front vanity plate interfere with them?

2013 convertible are still E93 chassis code. I've moved your thread over to the E93 forum.

It'll detect curbs up until the point where the sensor can't see them. So when I pull up to a curb, it will go crazy & then silent, you should stop before it goes silent to avoid scraping. You will see all of the sensors when you look at your car bumpers

In my 09 with rear PDC and no Nav, there is no display. You just get the beeping.

You are probably right, but the pictures of it in the convenience package area shows a display. Personally, I'm OK with just the sound and no display.

Same here for our MY11 E93 with front and rear PDC. No iDrive = no PDC display, only beeping which is informative enough for our needs.
