1997 528i windscreen wiper/washer problem

Hi!

I did a lot of searching but couldn't really find solution for my problem.

The problem I'm experiencing is with windscreen wipers and washers....on one rainy day wipers simply failed to work, they would go up but would not retract to starting position. Eventually they would not move at all. Immediately I started having problems with washers as well, when I start the car they work for 10-15 seconds and then stop.

I did change both wiper relays but the problem persists.
Also motor for washers was changed last summer....

So I'm kinda left with two possible culprits....wiper motor and/or switch

Or am I missing something

Since its both washer and wipers not working correctly. Id say its most likely the switch. As the wiper motor should not affect the washers.
