Missing Blower resitor?

OK, I just got the car a week ago,I have so far got the Windows working the battery stays charged and I found front seats because this car has the Twisted and ripped passenger seat.all interior lights working now and few other things I forgot already...
BUT.....
Now Im trying to get the AC working,I have googled and been on the forums and have found how to change the blower resistor,I think I should have mine on the driver side above the Gas pedal??? If so its missing? I see a plug with 4 wires is that the correct Plug and does the resistor snap on the heater housing ? what else can I be missing.....all the duct work was already off so Im asuming the last guy was trying to do the job and never got to it....

Pretty sure the orange connector on pass side is a air bag related. were you able to locate the cabin filter?

blower resistor

Lucky I havent looked for the cabin filter as of yet,Im trying to sort thru whats suppose to be where..Im waiting for the resistor to come in and see what happens. Should the AC work without it? I tried charging the ac but the gauge shows high pressure,"stays in the red" and the clutch hasnt come on? the compressor does, should I keep trying to fill it until the clutch engages???.

The A/C should work as long as the blower fan comes on. You just won't be able to use speeds 1,2,and3, only 4. Sounds like a problem with your pressure switch on the A/C receiver drier. There should be a way to jumper the switch somehow.

The pictures above were of the passenger side glovebox. The resistor is supposed to be on the drivers side directly above the accelerator pedal. Look there instead.

Ah hard to tell but now I see. The coolant pipes gave it away finally.

Yeah, throw a resistor on there and see what she does.

The compressor is not on if the clutch is not engaged .

The only way you can get the system to take r134 in there is to have the clutch engaged . If you don't its useless to even try . You have to bypass that swtich like paperplane sugested

Not sure if that s your ac problem but it may be,since the blower resistor allows for 3 speeds of the blower. You may want to check fuses too. Wile your there check your cabin filter. Right side passenger side left of foot well. "
remove the glove box at lower strap clips and 2 rear release hinge ,remove 2 covers on lower left passenger side carpet panals , . remove Pass side air duct at feet . In the very back left middle of firewall look up to your left with a flashlight. Remove plastic filter access door. Its the only cream colored plastic door back there. Its about 3 in wide and 8 in long One # 8 torks screw low on the door and a funny plastic blade at top that swings left to open. There will be a slim black climate control component box in the way of sliding out the filter. This small box is removable to allow the filter to be easily removed. Filters are 10 to 50 dollars. Bring vacuum with long narrow attachment for filter housing. Be prepared to be completly disgusted by how dirty it is with hair, dirt, dust ,leaves, grease . Watch your heating and cooling system come back to full strength as it can breath again. Very easy change 30min job LD

I would research and test related fuses and relays. I know that the green led will come on the button, when the snowflake symbol button is pushed and vent dials are turned to blue and the blower is set to blow. # 5 is the relay in this pic below. I think their is a related fuse too.

That is normal. Relay connector is there for a feature you don't have.

You need to jumper the switch at the A/C reciever drier to turn the compressor on. I don't know the exact wire or wire color so search!
