2006 BMW x3 Pulsating on acceleration

While accelerating Starting about 3000 RPM's up too 4500 RPM's, pulsating begins; the check engine light has not triggered; It seems to occur in every gear?
What to do?
I've all ready replaced the air filter and plugs!! NO difference!
current miles 84,000

2 things

1- What grade of gas are you using. During hot weather I have noticed I do not get smooth acceleration using low grade fuel. You might try running some Chevron Techron fuel additive through it.

2- Vanos problems will definitely cause this. Wait till this winter when the temps drop below 50. See if it will hold a steady idle in the morning. Bad Vanos will cause idle to drop to almost a stall and then catch and rev back up.

In the meantime don't drive it above 3000rpm.

I starting having this issue with my 06 X3 around 5k miles ago. Currently @ about 102k. Just replaced the plugs and just ordered a new air filter. Based on your experience, that is not going to resolve it either.

Were you able to fix your issue?

Defiantly the 02 sensors, they require replacement at 100K
