This is last updated PDF... We are due for a new one...

We may have a new one soon.. With the recent changes / findings

@Ralph: the cheat sheet included in the very first post contains only few of the mods that can be coded easily. It's made primarily for beginners. Once one gets used to it and plays around with the parameters, he is free to explore more on his own, we no more need to hold his fingers

Coding steps given along with the utilities shorten learning time. That's the purpose of the first post.

Hi April, I really appreciate all the hardwork that has been put into the exploration AND Documentation of the coding possibilities. I understand that the original post contains only beginners level coding options and is meant for hand holding.

May i enquire if there is an advanced version of the cheat sheet as well, where advanced coding options have been documented and is intended more for knowledge sharing than hand holding.

As DreamCar said, a new version is over due.

There are different models of cars and there are different integration levels of implementations, it needs a focused effort of a dedicated team to certify the info available on forums and compile into a document. Let me admit its not an easy task to do. Let me see if I can do justice to this need.

I am sitting on releasing v.4.0. The 2013 model and the new HU_NBT with integrated Combox greatly complicates the cheat sheet as many of the functions are now in a different module, and or are named differently. I am still trying to get my head around how best to fold HU_NBT into it.

Well Version 4.0 will be only for 2013 models or cars updated with 47.6... all others should be fine with the Version3.0. We don't have o be

I believe the last updated source excel was with you, let me know if I can be of any help...

I still favor a single comprehensive F10 cheat sheet as opposed to separate ones, so I will figure out how to incorporate it. Since I am traveling now, and will be out of the country for the next few weeks, it won't be anytime soon. Probably 4 weeks before I can release it.

You might have already figured out a better way but I am just thinking out loud if we want to do in a single PDF.

Then let us have the functionality on the left hand side followed by Year/Data Version followed by module and parameter default value and set to value.
If JJ is around he will come up one for F30 after your pdf.

My car is 2013 MY.

However, It will be Sean (Imsw1) who will help me code it.
also, at this point, Im looking at only the simple coding mentioned in the first post.

so I think i am well placed inspite of the fact that my car is 2013.

90% of people are happy with the 10% mods and other 90% mods are used by not even 10% people.

If Imsw1 is coding the car then I wouldn't worry about anything. He is one of the pioneers. and the best.

As April1 already said you wouldn't have to worry about all the mods there... Just because something is enabled we don't have to disable it and just because something is disabled we don't have to enable it.

Seat belt warning duration to 5 seconds,
A/c to remember last setting,

TPMS details
Video in motion,
Highbeam and Fogs together,
Unlock doors when engine is stopped.

I wanted default mode as EcoPro - is that possible? (did not see it in basic cheat sheet)
Also, I wanted AutoStop to OFF - is that possible?

This EcoPro and ASS have a strange relationship. Whenever i use EcoPro, even if ASS was switched off by me before, it automatically re-enables ASS.
I mean I start driving, stops at light and ASS engages. so i switch off ASS. Then i see the traffic is bad, so i enable EP mode, and again i have to switch off ASS.

So Im wondering how my requirements (i.e EP ON and ASS OFF) can co-exist.

Finally found an old Dell Inspiron 5100, formatted and partitioned a separate 45G partition and then loaded WinXP Sp3 on the other 25G partition. This will be my dedicated garage laptop/coding machine now since I really didn't feel like bothering with virtualization on my shiny new MacBook Air and all that. Note: don't toss your old Xp era laptops away.

Note that SW itself will occupy about 22GB.

I have 45G set aside just for coding.....can increase up 50 if necessary. Someone put a 2007 era 70G hd in this old thing.

Hi, Is there a F30 cheatsheet that includes turning off DRL, or are UK spec cars stuck with them.

Do you not have the option under iDrive to toggle them on and off in the U.K.?

I don't know about the F30 DRL's, but for the F10, it is FRM / DRL_MODUS = nicht_aktiv.
