Mein Auto: 2001 x5 4.4i
2001 BMW x5 4.4i coolant leak

I just had my BMW x5 4.4i timing chain done,within a day I notice that I have a coolant leak,brought it back to the dealer,there pronostic is that the leak coming from between the valve cover gasket,top of the v..can anyone tell me if by replacing the timin chain components you need to remove any parts that have to do with the coolest pipe seal?thank you for your time and reply.....

could be the transfer pipe or the valley pan...none of these would've been to be removed when doing the timing chain..

Couple of hoses go to each head behind the throttle body.A plastic tee divides them and cracks easily.How did they know it needed a timing chain and what were your symptoms?

what was the cost of the timing chain job? especially since you had it done at a dealer shop....
