Over the last 2 week when I turn my wheel left I get a really bad ticking noise coming from the front wheel, you can only here the noise when the window is down. I've been to the garage today and it's not the CV Joint ,CV boot, barrings or tyre. He does not know what it is!
![]() ![]() ![]() Has anyone had this problem before or can help me in anyway as it would be much appreciated. Thanks Danny |

Control arm bushings go bad? I recommend to bring it to a suspension specialist.

Would you not here the noise with the windows up? Also why do you think that?
Thanks for the reply Danny |

Well if it is the CV you would probably feel it in the steering wheel. (key word: probably) You may also hear it windows up no music no air blowing throuh vents. So if you know it's not the CV then the bushings are another common issue. Another could be brakes. Not really specific as to what part, but anything moving in that area can make a clicking noise and has to be diagnosed professionally because the X is AWD. You can't just jack up a wheel, spin it and listen. A hard lock circular drive in an open area with a person walking next to it with some experience may figure it out.
