2013 Z4 started production today

Here are some pics of the 2013 we picked up 12 days ago. Its identical to the 2012, no?

Looks great. Nothing can compare to that new car pickup at the Welt! Enjoy.

Good looking car! I like the fact that the rear diffuser is mostly painted the same colour as the car, I think it makes for a neater rear end!!!

Dan, when your 2013 Z4 arrives in your hands, do post a few pictures so we may see the minor changes that are instore for the Z4s!

The Z4 interior hasn't really changed at all. The A/C button is the difference I noticed. That's about it.

Ordered my very first BMW, a 2013 Z4 35is on Sept 1st and was told it is scheduled to be built the last week of September. How long does it take to build and then ship?

You are probably looking at 6 - 8 weeks for delivery to CA.

Awesome red Z. I too went with the 19" double spokes.
I also love the Yellow posted up by Neve1064 and wanted to say THANK YOU for sharing your 2013 with us. I ordered mine sight unseen - hoping there were no major changes! Color was the toughest decision for me. I finally decided on Black on beige.
I am not one to wish my days away, but I just can't wait for my Z to arrive! I rented one for a bit to make sure it is what I wanted and I am having some serious withdrawals! Back to driving my "practical" F150 while I wait.

That should be 6 - 8 weeks from order to delivery.

Yep, I really think the double spoke wheels really set it apart. Not that Z4's are all that common here in Colorado Springs anyway. Most everything is 4x4 or at a minimum AWD around here, but I still have a couple of SUV's to fill that role.

Production #: 7/28/12
Added to BMWusa.com: 8/7/12
Delivery Date: 10/10/12

Booked my air... now just waiting for my upgrades to go through!

My 35is delivery date is 10/10... you going to pick it up as well? Maybe the same b-day and we can play on the roads in Germany!

Damn - wish I could do a European delivery - maybe on my next one. I would love to hear back from you after your trip and see some pictures.

Dam... could have saved some $ AND taken the trip!

TODAY: Signed purchase order and they copied my Passport today... Also did a luggage "fit test" in a current Z4 on the lot... Also set appointment to go back for the final paperwork (financing) just before the trip...

30 days till I fly out... 33 to delivery... Not that I am counting or anything

Yes... I will have plenty of pictures... already looking at getting my FONIC SIM reconnected when I get there so I can upload here right from the roads whenever possible... Now, I just need winter to STAY AWAY until late October!

Hey man, when you get back, let's hook up Key Biscayne/hobbie isle for pictures. The back drop would be awesome.
A black and yellow 35is combo would look way cool with the sunset in the background.

Lol. I know, I just read your pm. I think that would be a netters location certainly. I'm down. Two yeller Z35is' with the neon lights on the bridge and the AAA arena would make an amazing shot. I have lighting, reflectors, etc... Let me know. Enjoy the trip man. The Z4 and European roads are meant for each other. How longare you going for?

Mine is black... the black/yellow is the interior...

I don't know how long I am driving for... it is weather dependent... HOPEFUL ROUTE... but, if winter hits too early, we may just go north, drop the car and then fly elsewhere on this OPTIONAL ROUTE.

Oh, I was unaware that the yellow interior was available with a black exterior.

I'm still preparing our trip report for posting here. We did the same. Flew around and drove. 18 cities in all. I should have the report ready next week. I'll check out your link.

Awesome... just updated the links in the prior post... don't think we will hit that many cities... but open to exploring options...

I can't get into it too much atm , I'm at work. But remind me to tell you about the experience we had going south from Innsbruck long the same route you have made on the map. Also, have you seen Berlin before?
