It has to be coded. The factory settings are just dumb. You can code both the key fob and the trunk release button located near the hood release to not only open but close the trunk.

There are so many other coding options, but if this is all you care for then see if you can get the dealer to do it for free. If however, you really want some goodies (eg. Mirror fold, remove disclaimers, etc.) then you should reach out to Rich aka Octopump to code it remotely.

Email Rich and tell him I said hello.

richcodedmycar@gmail.com

U need a laptop, Internet, and about an hour of time. Rich will setup a web session and do the coding. Price is 1/2 the dealer cost.

e65 Coding list?

Hey Everyone,

I'm new here and just picked up a very clean 750i. So I came here to learn 'stuff'.

I have seen the documents listed (and linked) for the possible coding of the comfort key but the links appear to be dead. I have searched the interwebs and found a couple of the mentioned documents but not the one for the E65 series.

Does anyone have the document and be willing to post/send it to me?

Thank you!
Chris
