SDM for BMW 750LI, whose used it?

Which one makes the car go the fastest? Looked at the manual and it gave brief information but chime in with your experience with this!

Thanks!

Sport mode is a lot more responsive than Drive mode the only downside is that you may feel the notorious jerking when stopping to about 1-3mph and then speeding back up.

Manual mode is a lot of fun in my opinion - especially on winding roads.

If you want fastest, hold the DTC button to turn off your DSC (dynamic stability control) and then use manual mode

Thanks Suri,

Great information. Clear and concise! With manual you have to shift gears?

Sport Mode is basically the D mode, but with slightly faster gear changes and it'll hold lower gears for a longer period of time. It'll make the car def. faster.

Manual Mode uses the button shifters on the wheel (up and down shifts) and gives you complete control along with the benefits of Sport Mode.

D is just regular diving mode. I would suggest using D and leaving the car be most of the time. Use S mode when you want that extra bit of power but you'll notice harsher shifts and as well the notorious rear-ended feeling when it downshifts into first.

When I saw in Car and Driver that they clocked the 750LI at 0-60 in 5.7 I wonder what mode did they use?

whose driven using the manuel mode? I'm confused by it sort of? I love the sport mode. The car hit 0-60 clearly around 5.6-5.7 secs I wonder would it be even faster with manual mode. With regular drive the car is more abround 0-60 in 6.2 secs.

Alrighty, I've grown into the manual drive for the 750li and it is demonically fast in manual. The pickup is a monster! Ultimate driving machine!

Sport mode with dynamic traction off turns the car into a beast. Just don't use it on gravel or wet conditions.

So is it faster than in manual? I believe you but I find the shifts in manual to be unearthly fast! But I will try it!

It's just faster in the sense that your power isn't limited. If you take a turn quick, you will likely slide a little or at minimum, not feel DSC kick in and limit your power
