My wife recently, before hearing about a possible diesel, informed me that the SLS is now her favorite car. Somehow I am doubting though that the rumor is true. I recall not too long ago reading a statement from AMG that said they were not going to be pursuing diesels anytime soon. Remember just a few years ago the rumor of a "sledge hammer" AMG to come out again? That would appear to proven to be nothing but a rumor.

With all that said, would be very cool to see an SLS with one. Too bad an SLS is in a price range that I just will not let myself stomach.

Interesting because Audi nixed the R8 V12 TDI. Maybe if MB brings this around, then we will the R8 TDI next time around

I thought Audi did make a TDI R8 but just would not bring it stateside or did they stop making that car completely?

Your wife has very good taste. I would love to get an SLS convertible, but Mrs D thinks that's a crazy amount to pay for a car and apparrently the Wall Street Journal agrees!
