Front sidelight problem - help!!

Hello all. I have a problem with my drivers side front side light. Only the drivers side doesn't work! I have checked the bulb and lamp connections, all was ok. When I tested the wire to the side light there was no power to the light at all! All other lights work fine! Any ideas????? Thanks

Did you check the fuse box to see if one was blown?

Yes checked all of that. But If a fuse had blown then neither of the side lights would work. Only one doesn't work!

If you are talking about the side marker...the one where the bulb sits in a long plastic pen looking like holder, then just play with same light on oposite side...I know you said you checked for power to that connection but I once had mine not work if I stuck it in and turned the holder too far. Since I knew the other one was good, I took it out and tried it on this side till I figured out where/when to stop when inserting it. If it is indeed this light, also try with a long skinny screw driver...it's a whole lot easier.

Thanks for that, I'll give it a go. I'm pretty sure I did take the other side out to check and that side works when the holder is taken out of the headlight. I'm wondering if it is a faulty holder and maybe the power cuts off to it when it fails and sends the power to the turn signal which stays lit constantly instead?!?

I've now run a wire from the left hand side light over to the right one and it works! The amber signal light still stays on constantly though! At least I now know there is no problem with the headlamp at all. Could it be the switch or a relay? I'm baffled!!!!!

Is there a relay for the side lights? Or could the switch be faulty??
