0bd codes p0135 & p0134

I have a 1997 528i throwing codes P0135 & P0134.
1) I have replaced the 02 sensor on Bank 1 - Sensor 1 and received the same code. I have moved that new 02 sensor to another location and did not receive a code from it at the new loacation, which indicate the sensor was not faulty.

2) If I switch the 02 connectors for Bank 1 - Sensor 1 (Code P0135) with the connector for Bank 2 - Sensor 1 the code switch to P0155, indicating the issue is with the sensor being installed in that particular port for the Bank 1.

3) I have checked the fuse for the heater and it is good.

Questions:
1. Does the sensor get its ground from being screwed into the port in the manifold?

2. What else is there to check for, since the problem will staying with whatever sensor screwed into Bank 1.

There is a problem with the heater circuit at bank 1 sensor 1. Check the fuse.

P0134 = O2 sensor circuit no activity detected bank 1 sensor 1

P0135 = O2 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 1.

Got the Check Engine Light to go out but I am still getting the P0134 code now, What could cause the Check Engine Light to not be lit but I still get a code P0134 logged?
